Don’t worry, you’re not alone. It’s normal for cravings and appetite to intensify before your period. Wondering why this happens? It’s our progesterone hormone’s fault. Our progesterone levels are really high right before our period and progesterone is an appetite stimulant. But, fortunately, it has a balancing effect of also increasing our metabolic rate which means we’re burning calories faster when it’s higher.

So, eat your chocolate.

Especially, dark chocolate. Dark chocolate is rich in minerals like magnesium.
